While all the attention in the poker world is focused on the Main Event, where Ukraine’s Ruslan Pridrik continues to crack the top 15, there’s a lot of interesting stuff happening outside of the Main Event.
While the Main Event final table has yet to be determined, organizers have announced the voting results for the newest members of the Poker Hall of Fame. As expected, Matuso and Scheinberg were excluded from the nomination. Brian Rast received the most votes.
After winning the Poker Players Championship for the third time in his career, he was on track to enter the Hall of Fame. With a total of six WSOP gold bracelets, Rast ticks all the boxes: He plays expensively and extensively, has been a long-time performer and turned 40 last year.
